How to Tackle the Perfect Football Party
Don’t have season tickets to see your favorite football team this year? That doesn’t mean you can’t have just as much fun watching it from the comfort of your living room.
Why not host a party at your house and watch the game with some of your buddies? Whether you’re inviting a crowd or just a few friends, here are tips for easy ways to throw a phenomenal football bash:

* Make sure to clear out the party room to accommodate your guests and have plenty of space for folding tables and chairs. Make a list of your guests and plan to have an abundance of comfortable seating available.
* Since the television is the centerpiece of your party, it’s a good idea to survey its condition. You don’t have to own a 61-inch, high-definition plasma television set, but if it looks like it is snowing on the screen when it is actually 70 degrees and sunny at the game, it might be a good idea to replace it.
* Set up as many televisions as you have available around the party area to give your home a “sports bar” atmosphere.
* Wear your favorite team’s jersey and encourage your guests to do the same. Wal-Mart offers NFL-licensed jerseys for all the teams.
* Be stocked with plenty of food. Pizza never disappoints, and you will never go wrong with firing up the barbecue. Remember, burgers and hot dogs are a fan’s best friend. Or, name yourself a “free agent”and order up some party platters in advance. Wal-Mart offers a wide variety, including chicken wings, sub sandwiches and veggie, cheese and fruit trays.
* Arrange beverages and snacks in “territories” around the room to encourage movement and traffic flow.
* Have a custom-decorated dessert such as cupcakes in team colors or a cake featuring team logos.
* Use a football as a “guest book” and place it near the front door for everyone to sign. It’ll be a great door prize - especially if your team wins.
* Set aside a room that does not have a television for partygoers who want a break from football or who may be looking for a quieter place to talk.
Follow these simple tips and you will be sure to have a lot of fans of your football party.
